Line Cook

Job Title: Line Cook

Job Summary

Do you love working as part of a team? Are you passionate about food? Do you enjoy cooking a wide range of items? Then the position of Line Cook may be a good fit for you! 

Job Responsibilities

  • Able to take direction and feedback from the Executive Chef and Pastry Chef.
  • Ability to tackle different cooking methods and basic sauces.
  • Assist with on and off-site catering, buffet platters, and action stations.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.

Fry Cook Duties

  • Responsible for changing the fry oil when necessary as well as upkeep of deep fryer.
  • Is responsible for cooking to order all deep fried items to customer and/or Executive Chef’s specifications.

Griddle Cook Duties

  • Responsible for daily cleaning of the griddle and upkeep of the appliance.
  • Is responsible for cooking to order food items to customer and/or Executive Chef’s specifications.

Grill Cook Duties

  • Responsible for daily cleaning of the grill and upkeep of the appliance.
  • Is responsible for cooking to order food items to customer and/or Executive Chef’s specifications.

Pizza Cook Duties

  • Responsible for daily cleaning of pizza making equipment.
  • Is responsible for cooking to order food items to customer and/or Executive Chef’s specifications.

Personal Skills

  • Basic culinary knowledge, skills, and techniques.
  • Basic knife skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all team members.
  • Customer service oriented.

A Skills Assessment can be given to all candidates for this position for consideration at the discretion of the Executive Chef.

Education/Work Requirements

  • Culinary Experience Preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED

Mechanic/Lane Technician

Aiea Bowl

Job Title: Mechanic/Lane Technician

Job Summary

The Lane Technician/Mechanic will be responsible for the successful implementation of all mechanical and maintenance activities as set forth by the lead mechanic. This includes, but is not limited to; lane wood repair, electrical and wiring troubleshooting, mechanical disassembly and reassembly of pinsetter components.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair pin spotters, lanes, scoring equipment, and lane cleaning and conditioner machine.
  • Diagnose and repair trouble calls throughout shift.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as needed or directed.
  • Performs rebuilding and overhauling of equipment when necessary or directed.
  • Is able to comply and is familiar with OSHA regulations and safety policies.

Personal Skills

  • Able to communicate effectively to all levels of employees with due respect and also receive constructive criticism and requests from all levels of employees with tact and poise.
  • Able to get along with different types of people.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Good memory for details.
  • Able to multitask and to stay calm under stressful/unusual circumstances.
  • Basic working knowledge of common hand tools.
  • Able to recognize existing system of organizing and follow through with any and all products and inventory.

Educational Requirements

  • High School or GED equivalent.
  • Technical and/or Mechanical background preferred.

Restaurant Cashier

Job Title: Restaurant Cashier / Counter Staff

 

Job Summary

Are you quick with numbers? Do you appreciate the old-school vibe of talking over the phone? Do you pride yourself on your trustworthiness? Then the role of Restaurant Cashier/Counter Staff may be the one for you! 

Job Responsibilities

  • Handle restaurant and bakery sales at the Alley Restaurant counter and takeout window.
  • Keep track of the contents and accuracy of the cash drawer.
  • Take calls and reservations over the phone, and be ready to answer any questions guests may have. 
  • Keep the Front Counter and surrounding area sanitary, clean and presentable.
  • Deliver orders promptly and with a smile!

Personal Skills

  • Comfortable with multitasking and able to stay calm under stressful/unusual circumstances.
  • Strong delegation skills. 
  • Friendly and happy to interact with customers.
  • Honest and trustworthy nature.
  • Able to take responsibility for handling money.
  • Able to work most or all of a shift standing up.
  • Able to lift 35 lbs. 
  • Able to learn and use effectively the computer POS system/cash register.

Job Responsibilities

  • Be the first smiling face that people see upon arriving to Aiea Bowl! 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all guests.
  • Take calls and messages professionally and kindly, passing messages along to the correct extensions as necessary.
  • Assist customers with securing shoe rentals, ball rentals, and lane issues if the front desk is unmanned.
  • Assist with keeping rental bowling shoes organized.
  • Be open and willing to back up the Operations Manager with miscellaneous tasks, if asked.  

 

Personal Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to resolve customer conflicts in a precise and professional manner.
  • Basic cash handling and arithmetic skills.

Job Summary

  • Greet guests upon their arrival to Aiea Bowl & The Alley Restaurant with a smile! 
  • Answer any questions customers may have, or direct them to someone who can help them figure out what they’re looking for. 
  • Assist your fellow team members with miscellaneous duties including clearing tables, providing napkins, and refilling water. 
  • Bid farewell to guests who are leaving and let them know we hope to see them back again soon!

Job Title: Janitorial Worker

  • Janitorial Worker – Night Shift (5pm-closing)
  • Janitorial Worker – Morning (8:00a-5:00p)

Job Summary

Is cleanliness your calling? Do you love being able to focus on your work without distraction? Are you looking for a low-stress job that works with yours schedule? Then the role of Janitorial Worker may be a good fit! 

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the bowling alley’s floors, carpet, windows, chairs/tables, vending machines, and bathrooms. 
  • Assist the restaurant in emptying trash receptacles and restocking paper products in the restrooms. 
  • Be a team player and assist co-workers in miscellaneous duties, if needed. 
  • Occasionally assist with receiving and storing deliveries. 
  • Ensure a safe environment by promptly cleaning up any spills.
