4 Unique Bowling Styles
1. Ron Williams – High Backswing
Known as “The Bowling Elvis” for his slicked-back hair, Ron Williams is a pro bowler from Texas who can certainly turns heads with his technique! Winding his arm up and to the side as if he’s pulling open a door, he bowls his ball like he’s skipping rocks across a lake!

2. Matt Jones – 2-Handed Wiggle
One of California’s elite bowlers, Matt Jones’ peers couldn’t believe his wacky (yet wonderful!) bowling style when they first saw it. Holding it with both hands, he flings the ball from his chest, releasing it in a spinning motion. Jones has been doing this technique since he was 2 years old, and although it’s unlike anything we’ve seen before, his bowls a prolific 235 average!

3. Jim Cripps – The Backward Bowler
What started as a dare turned one young bowler into a full-blown sensation! Jim Cripps, AKA “The Backward Bowler” is based in Tennessee, and carries the Guinness World Record for Highest Backwards Bowling Score at a whopping 278! He has been televised in Japan, Las Vegas, and New York, appearing on “Good Morning America” and “Jimmy Kimmel, Live” to showcase his skill.

4. Jakob Butturff – Double-Jointed Swing
A left-handed bowler from Arizona, Jakob Butturff made his way into the Professional Bowlers Association at the young age of 21. Most notable, however, is his incredible swing, which, as a result of his hyper-mobility, begins in a position that is almost impossible for someone with normal levels of flexibility to achieve! Because of this, his one-handed shot achieves almost as many RPM as that of a two-handed bowler.
